For men

STD testing is recommended if you are having sex with men. In such conditions annual testing for HIV, Chlamydia, syphilis and gonorrhea are recommended. Out of these syphilis and HIV can be fatal or life threatening if not treated. Moreover gonorrhea and Chlamydia can place you at the greater risk of acquiring HIV as well as other STDs.

For women and men

CDC also boosts you for having HIV test if you are adolescent or adult between the ages of thirteen to sixty four. It also advises yearly HIV testing if you have had unprotected sex with more than one sexual partner because you are at a high risk of infection.
